That morning, I was not supposed to go to work. I was thinking of taking parental leave. But there was an emergency, so I went to work in the morning. Sometimes it was me who dropped him off, sometimes it was my wife. But that day, as I was close to the crèche, it was I who dropped him off. So, we were a little out of habit, out of routine.
It happened to me, sometimes, already – and this is perhaps a signal that I should have taken into account – when I arrived in the neighborhood, to turn right, towards my job, rather than going straight straight to daycare when I dropped him off. But right away I was like ‘bad reflex’, I turned around and went to the nursery. I realized it immediately.“
