fans of the saga Game of Thrones have something to be happy about. After several years of absence, the mythical universe created by George RR Martin is finally back! Last month, we already learned that the broadcast of the prequel series House of The Dragon will be launched from August 21 on HBO (OCS in France).
And this time, the production has spoiled us even more by releasing a first trailer that bodes well for this spin-off. As we can see in these images, the spectators of the original series will not be confused since we find indeed all the great families of Westeros who come to attend the coronation of King Viserys Targaryen.
A plot that takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones
The explosive cocktail that made the success of this saga is also part of it with epic music and very spectacular shots. Political conspiracies and early tensions also don’t seem far off and that’s again one of the keys to the franchise’s success. Game of Thrones.
Remember that this derivative series will notably follow the journey of Rhaenyra, designated heir to the Iron Throne by Viserys Targaryen, which will give a feminist touch to this prequel. In terms of casting, we shouldn’t be disappointed either with sure values such as Matt Smith (The Crown, Doctor Who), but also Paddy Considine (Peaky Blinders), Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers), or even Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel).
So we only have a few more months to wait before this great return of Game of Thrones on a small screen. Perhaps the time to review the last seasons of the series which are far from having satisfied all viewers.
