A fire broke out in an apartment on rue Robert in Monthey late Thursday followingnoon. According to Glenn Martignier, the city’s civil security chief, a person was evacuated from the scene and “discomforted by the fumes”.
The CSI Chablais VS accompanied by the CSI du Haut-Lac and the CSI CIMO intervened on the scene to quickly control the flames. An ambulance as well as the municipal and cantonal police were also present. The latter will open an investigation.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
