A firefighter is run over in Ciudad Bolívar

A citizen was injured after being run over by a vehicle this Sunday, July 3, in Ciudad Bolívar.

The traffic accident would have been recorded at approximately 7:00 in the morning, on Las Flores street in the UDO sector, in the La Sabanita parish.

Witnesses alerted the authorities by telephone about the winding adjacent to a well-known butcher shop.

The injured person was identified as corporal second (B) Cruz Monroy, who belongs to the Angostura del Orinoco Municipal Fire Department.

Unofficially, it was learned that Monroy is also part of the Roraima Rescue Group.

The man presented multiple abrasions, in addition to suffering a skull fracture. His state of health is delicate.

Monroy was transferred by his co-workers to the emergency room of the Ruiz y Páez University Hospital.

Witnesses notified the authorities that, after the impact, the driver fled, leaving the officer on the pavement, without verifying his condition.

Monroy would have been run over by a white Hyundai Accent vehicle with a black bumper, identified with license plates EH381T.

In social networks, companions of the second corporal (B) Cruz Monroy have requested support to find the person responsible for the incident. The driver of the car that ran over the Angostura del Orinoco Municipal Firefighters official has not yet been identified.
