Today, Monday, the Popular Mobilization Authority announced the implementation of a raid, search and audit in Al-Tarmiya, in search of wanted persons and members belonging to the terrorist ISIS gangs.

A statement by the commission, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “a force from the 12th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out a raid, search and audit operation in the Tarmiya district, in search of wanted persons and members belonging to the terrorist gangs of ISIS.”

The statement added, “The operation was carried out in two areas within the district of the brigade’s responsibility in the district, to prevent the infiltration of terrorist elements of ISIS, and to enhance security and close security gaps to prevent any security breach.”

He pointed out that “the forces of the 12th Brigade are deployed in fixed and mobile checkpoints and checkpoints in the towns and countryside of the region to preserve the security gains and the stability of the Baghdad belt areas.”
