A “fraudulent tweet” puts Musk in the dock

San Francisco (AFP)

The day following tomorrow in San Francisco, the trial of Elon Musk, accused by investors of publishing a fraudulent tweet, begins following a judge rejected yesterday a request by the lawyer for the head of “Tesla” to transfer the case outside California.
The case dates back to 2018, when Musk announced on Twitter that he had the necessary financing to remove Tesla from the stock exchange, in a tweet that caused stock prices to fluctuate for several days.
And last August 10, a complaint was filed once morest Musk, accusing him of “artificially manipulating” the Tesla share price to destroy investors. Four and a half years later, the last obstacle to a trial appears to have been removed.
