According to the Moroccan police, the father tried to end his life after killing his two young children. The investigation, under the supervision of the prosecution, aims to “elucidate the causes and circumstances of a suicide attempt by this 72-year-old French tourist, suspected of having committed a premeditated homicide by injecting his two minor children with a suspicious substance“, said the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
According to the first report, the corpses of two victims bore no trace of violence or resistance. No signs of violence were also seen on the body of the father who was transferred to a local hospital, where he is being treated in an intensive care unit.
The police officers found on the spot, a letter in which are explained the motives apparently family, of the drama, indicated a police source. Used medical syringes were also discovered at the scene. The retiree’s ex-wife was heard by the Moroccan judicial police as part of the investigation.
An autopsy is underway to find out the exact causes of the victims’ deaths.
