A hot American summer changed Solari’s life

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

Jorge Solari’s life turned in the summer of 1994 when he led the Saudi national team to the final price of the World Cup that year, the best achievement in the history of Saudi Arabia’s participation in the World Cup.

Solari started in Rosario as the founder of the Renato Cesarini academy and team, which discovered many football stars, including Javier Mascherano, the former Barcelona star, Martin Demichelis, the former Bayern Munich and Manchester City player, and others, and now his son Jorgeti runs the academy.

After the exciting American summer, Jorge moved to Japan to coach Yokohama Marinos for 6 months and then returned to Mexico to coach America, and in 2005 he coached Almagro before concluding his career with Atletico Tucuman in 2011, and today he lives in Rosario.
