Al-Marsad newspaper: A huge library in Dammam declared bankruptcy and offered 300,000 books and volumes for sale, at a price of one riyal per book.

For his part, a member of the Saudi Society for the Noble Qur’an and its Sciences, Muhammad Al-Anizan, published a video clip showing the books being packed into large cartons, and offered for sale at less than their original price.

He said: “The offer to sell the entire quantity “wholesale” in Dar Al-Rawi warehouse in Dammam, and wholesale sale at once to one party, as the owner of the house told me.”

He continued: “The books were placed in more than 1,600 large cartons, and their information was collected in one file that contains the title of each book, the name of its author and publishing house, the number of volumes if the book is more than one volume, the copy price, the number of copies and the total price.”
