The President of Ukraine enters the Ariston theater on the last night of the Sanremo Festival. The Associazione Utenti dei Servizi Radiotelevisivi (Association of Users of Radio and Television Services) has announced that it has issued a formal notice to RAI, asking it not to allow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to attend its entertainment event, following a number of consumer complaints.
There is enormous outrage in Italy after the Italian media group RAI announced that the Ukrainian president will address the people at the world-famous Sanremo Festival starting on February 7. Many intellectuals and individuals have spoken out against the war propaganda, according to whom negative news is pouring in the news, and it is impossible to watch even a miserable 2-hour entertainment program without the horrors of war. Many people complain that the media is obsessed with covering the war, instead of guiding the two warring parties to the path of diplomacy and peace.

Therefore, the association sent an official warning to the top management of the channel and RAI to the Supervisory Boardin which he asked them to rule out Zelensky’s participation in Sanremo and instead observe a minute’s silence at the festival to commemorate the victims of the war in Ukraine.
At the same time, RAI board members confirmed that Zelensky will give a 2-minute speech at the end of the program on February 11, if consumers like it, if not. The cancellation of the Ukrainian president’s speech would cause a diplomatic incident, the management of the state media group stated, so there is no longer any possibility of backtracking.
