WA Letter from Kyoto is a movie that depicts the lives of four women very beautifully. The main characters are an elderly mother and her three daughters living in Korea. The eldest daughter returned from Seoul on the occasion of her father’s death anniversary. The second daughter works in a shop near the house. The third daughter is a student. The most important character is that of the mother who tries to erase the things she doesn’t like from her memory.

The eldest daughter from Seoul is planning to move her mother to a care home, but the other children are standing in the way. Later, the film shows the audience how the children gift the memories that the mother likes so as not to lose them.
This mother wants to go back to Japan where she spent her childhood. Accordingly, the three children take their mother to Japan. When they arrive in Japan, they learn that their mother has died. After that, the four people return to Korea and continue their old life. A trip to Japan gave my mother, who suffered from blindness, some good memories and the energy to live a little longer.
