A lifeless body discovered in the Albert Canal in Liege

A lifeless body was found Monday morning in the Albert canal in Herstal by the Liège firefighters, confirms the Herstal police. The identity of the body has not yet been confirmed.

The lifeless body of a person was fished out Monday around 11:25 a.m. by firefighters from Liège on the banks of the Ravel in Herstal, in the Albert Canal, near the quay of Abhooz. Monday, around 12:00 p.m., the men of the fire might not specify whether it was a man or a lady.

The cause of death has yet to be determined by a medical examiner. The Liège public prosecutor’s office has been notified.
