“A lot is going to happen!”

Pierre Gasly expects a lively Bahrain Grand Prix for the opening race of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship.

Pierre Gasly will start the Bahrain Grand Prix from tenth place on the grid. The French driver, who thought he would not see Q3 at the end of FP2, really pulled the quintessence of his single-seater yesterday on the Sakhir track to reach the last part of the timed session.

« On the one hand, I’m very happy, because we thought we were having trouble getting out of Q1 and that’s why we put three sets of tiresexplains Gasly. It was really complicated since FP2, I manage to do a very good lap with only one set of tires in Q2 to go into Q3, so it’s very good. »

« We see that there are cars that are very fast, especially Ferrari-powered cars. They are impressive and we have work to do to find more performance, but I am happy with the work we have done. »

« On the long stints I felt better than on a fast lap, we seemed to have better pace, so that bodes well for the race. Afterwards, you still have to see the checkered flag because a lot is likely to happen during the Grand Prix! But I hope for points at the finish he concludes.
