A man that I was filming the sunrise near a dune on the beaches of hutchinson islandon the east coast of Florida (USA), died after becoming buried under the sand that collapsed on top of him, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
The 35-year-old man and resident in the city of Stuart, whose identity has not been disclosed, was recording a sunrise video on that barrier of two islands on the east coast when presumably “a sand dune collapsed on him” and he suffocated to death, authorities said in a statement.
It was a bather who early Monday morning “nnoticed that a part of the victim’s body protruded out of the sand and called for help.

The detectives in charge of the investigation rule out that it was a crime and everything indicates that “the victim was taking a video of the sunrise under a dune” when it collapsed, the sheriff’s office said.
Although the results of the coroner’s toxicology tests are still awaited, “the results are not likely to change the circumstances” of a “tragic accident.”
