A man from Lévis wins the 26th Maison Tanguay

A man from Lévis won the 26th Maison Tanguay, Sunday, alongside his wife.

“I bought my ticket on the internet first and foremost to support this worthy cause and now I’m leaving with a house. It’s a moment of extreme emotions, we’re on cloud nine,” said Luc Thériault, a few minutes after being declared the big winner of the Maison Fondation Maurice-Tanguay Novoclimat 2022.

Mr. Thériault specified that he would take a few days to decide whether he would decide to have this sumptuous residence, valued at $685,000, built in the location of his choice or to receive a check for $500,000.

The name of the big winner was revealed during the popular Salut Bonjour Week-end program on TVA, live from a reception room at the Le Bonne Entente hotel where the 15 finalists had gathered for the occasion. .

In addition to the grand prize, either the house or an amount of $500,000, two pre-draws had previously taken place to determine the finalists and all shared a total of 15 prizes, i.e. seven prizes of $1,000 at Latulippe and eight price of $1000 at Tanguay.

“We are very privileged to count on the generous support of the people of Quebec who participated massively in our annual fundraising campaign,” said Olivier Tanguay, Executive Director of the Maurice-Tanguay Foundation, in a press release.

Mr. Tanguay also indicated that a “sales record” of $3,204,170 was reached this year.

“The year 2022 will remain etched in our memory […]. On behalf of our family, thank you to the population, our valued partners, the Foundation team and all the volunteers who support us year after year,” he added.

Remember that the money raised will help carry out projects affecting young people, offer respite to parents, specialized care for children, purchase adapted equipment or carry out specific projects with organizations or schools targeting a clientele with special needs.
