Al-Marsad newspaper: A video clip documented an incident in which a Brazilian man was seriously injured and his wife was treated for minor injuries, following their car exploded while refueling it inside a gas station in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, according to the British Daily Mail.
A video of surveillance cameras at the Rio de Janeiro station, Tuesday morning, showed a 67-year-old man, Mario Magalhães, opening the trunk of his car, before the car suddenly exploded without warning.
The impact of the car explosion caused Magalhaes to fly through the air and crash into the ground, while his wife, Andrea Magalhaes, who was standing next to the front passenger door, managed to avoid being damaged by the blast.
The video clip showed the wife running away from the car, the gas station roof panels smashing to the ground, and a gas station worker rushing to check on her husband and asking for help.
Local media reported that Mario Magalhaes was taken in serious condition to Salgado Filho Hospital and underwent surgery. His wife received medical care at Souza Aguiar Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.
