This Sunday there was a new accident on Route 151, which had the sad result of the death of one person. The weekend had multiple road incidents in the region, especially on the route that connects Cipolletti with Catriel. The last one took place around 6.30 pm on Sunday, at kilometer 19.
Ceferino Purrán, chief of the Police transit zone in the Upper West Valley, confirmed that there was a shock fatal in the vicinity of Five jumps. In the place, expert reports were carried out for several hours, so that the traffic was interrupted and long lines of vehicles were formed, in both directions, waiting to be enabled to cross the area of the crash.
As detailed by the head of the Caminera, personnel from the Cinco Saltos Road Safety Corps confirmed that it was a frontal collision of a truck Iveco, model 460, with semitrailer, and a Fiat Uno, whose driver died as a result of the impact.
The fatal victim, whose identity was not provided, was 32 years old and lived in Cinco Saltos. As the truck driver, 30 years old, a native of San Patricio del Chañar.
At the scene of the accident, various expert reports were carried out to try to determine the responsibilities of the fatal crash. So far, it was confirmed that the truck was traveling in the Cinco Saltos – Rear Admiral Cordero direction, while the Fiat Uno was traveling in the opposite direction.
