Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Ange Postecoglou, coach of the English club Tottenham Hotspur, stressed the team’s support for the player Richarlison, who announced his need for psychological help.
Richarlison shed tears following being substituted during the match between Brazil and Bolivia, and then revealed that he would seek help from a psychiatrist, following his decline in performance in the last stage.
Postecoglou said in a press conference prior to the match between “Spurs” and Sheffield United: “Whatever Richarlison needs, we will help him reach the space he wants to reach,” according to the “Euro Sport” website.
He continued by saying: “He said that because he was very emotional following the match, and we will give him the support he needs, but we do that for all players and most professional clubs do that.”
The Tottenham Hotspur coach added: “What I will say is that no one has a perfect life. People think that footballers do things well and have all the money they need, but that does not make them safe from life.”
The 26-year-old player did not succeed in scoring many goals with the Spurs team, following playing nearly 40 matches with the club active in the English Premier League competition.
