A new bus service, which will pass through Toronto, Ottawa and Waterloo among others, will be launched next month.

FlixBus, founded in Germany, announces that it will offer several connections in Ontario starting April 7, including an express service between Ottawa and Toronto, a Toronto-Niagara Falls route, as well as several stops in the Kitchener- Waterloo. The University of Waterloo, downtown Kitchener, and Guelph will be served.

FlixBus is trying to conquer the Canadian market, having successfully established itself in Europe, the United States and Brazil. Ontario represents the first step in its expansion plans, according to a statement from the company. FlixBus also wants to offer cross-border connections between Canada and the United States starting in the summer of 2022.

Service between Ottawa and Toronto will operate Thursday through Monday, one trip per day in each direction. Niagara Falls-Toronto and Waterloo-Toronto service will be daily.

The transport company promises free Wi-Fi on board its vehicles and access to power outlets at each seat.
