Apparently, to dealer delivered one of the JAC S4 specimens that came to Russia for certification at the beginning of the year. It was expected that crossovers would be supplied to our market from the SaryarkaAvtoProm plant in Kazakhstan, but in February the model received a new Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS). It already indicates the Chinese manufacturer – Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group.
The characteristics of the cars in both certification documents are the same. The S4 will be offered to the Russians with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 109 forces (150 Nm of torque), and an alternative to it will be a 1.5-liter supercharged engine with 136 forces (200 Nm). Judging by the Turbo badge on the fender, the car in the photos is equipped with a more powerful variant.
