The Saudi Football Association announced the adoption of a new mechanism for the establishment of the new version of the Saudi Super Cup, following adopting the participation of 4 clubs, starting with the 2022-2023 version, which is usually held in January of each year.
The King’s Cup champion and the league title holder, along with the two runners-up, participate in the tournament, and in the event of repetition, the selection will be made according to the order of the professional league.
According to the first mechanism, the King’s Cup champion plays once morest the league runner-up, the League champion once morest the King’s Cup runner-up, and the two winners play in the final.
In the second mechanism, the draw is used, so that team No. 1 plays once morest team No. 2, and team No. 3 once morest team No. 4, and the winners play in the final.
