Battlestate Games has been teasing an Escape from Tarkov standalone called ARENA for some time. After a first not very enlightening trailer, we are now entitled to a good package of information thanks to this new trailer.
As a reminder, this standalone is a kind of competitive mode of Escape from Tarkov. Little was known until today, but the tide has finally turned. In the trailer, we can see five maps available (for the moment) as well as two modes, the Teamfight in 5 vs 5 and the Shootout which seems to be played alone, in duos or in trios. Next, a menu of character and equipment purchases presents itself, split across four different classes. Finally, the gameplay is very close to Escape from Tarkov, but seems faster, less simulated. Surely a good idea to make this competitive standalone more accessible than its big brother!
Finally, we don’t have a release date yet, hope it doesn’t drag out as much as for the Street of Tarkov map…
