A nutrition consultant reveals a “surprise” about the keto diet widespread in the markets.. and warns against prescribing it to patients • Al Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Othman, a nutrition consultant, said that the keto diet is not approved by any international medical authority, stressing that the keto diet found in social media is not essential, while the basic is prescribed for children with epilepsy and some types of chemotherapy for cancer patients.

Al-Othman added in an intervention on the “Saudi Arabia” channel: The widespread keto diet is often a personal diligence, which is an increase in fat and a decrease in carbohydrates, and it is possible for a person to lose weight within 3 months, but there are negative effects that may occur.

He continued: A balance must be achieved, and in all hospitals in the Kingdom there are nutrition clinics and there is an integrated medical team, and therefore there is no need to use any diets without medical advice.

He continued: There is no gagging, no needles, and nothing that can achieve results, and a large group of people who did the sleeve retracted it, and you must change your diet in a correct way to achieve your health goal.
