Irkutsk region, NIA-Baikal – Residents of Irkutsk, activists of public organizations and actors of the puppet theater “Aistenok”, together with artistic director Yuri Utkin, sang his songs in their own author’s arrangement on Vladimir Vysotsky’s birthday.
The apartment party was held on the birthday of the great poet and bard at the regional election headquarters of Vladimir Putin. On January 25, Vladimir Vysotsky would have turned 86 years old.
In June 1976, Vladimir Vysotsky arrived in Irkutsk. The purpose of his trip was a gold mining artel on the Vacha River, where he spent several days communicating with the gold miners of the artel and collecting impressions for creativity. The poet performed several hours-long concerts in front of prospectors. Returning from the mine, Vladimir Vysotsky organized an apartment party for Irkutsk residents, singing from the balcony of the Monchinsky family house on Sibirskikh Partizan Street in Irkutsk-II. There is now a memorial plaque in memory of this concert.
The tradition of apartment dwellers was continued by the actors of the Stork puppet theater on the birthday of Vladimir Vysotsky at the regional election headquarters of Vladimir Putin. Theater actor Roman Buchek, opening the event, described his feelings from the bard’s songs.
“They contain a colossal charge – love, patriotism, and friendship. In this time that we are all living, Vladimir Vysotsky is especially relevant precisely from the side of a citizen, from the side of a person, which shows through his creativity that we are all a very strong, strong, friendly people, and this people is not afraid to fight for a just cause,” – he said.
The first to be performed was the famous “Ballad of Struggle” in a modern adaptation by a creative team of theater actors. In addition to the bard’s songs, the actors’ own compositions and poems by Vladimir Vysotsky were heard, also in the author’s theatrical adaptation.
The participants of this new and interesting project expressed a desire for the apartment buildings at the regional election headquarters of Vladimir Putin to continue to be held at the address: Irkutsk, Stepan Razin Street, 27. Currently, 11 people are participating in the election campaign. Vladislav Davankov from New People, Leonid Slutsky from the LDPR, Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation are officially registered as presidential candidates. The rest are collecting signatures. The Russian presidential elections are scheduled for March 15, 16 and 17.
