A Plague Tale: Mathieu Turi is working on a TV series adaptation

A television series adaptation of the famous video game A Plague Tale by Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive, released in 2019, is said to be in preparation.

Director Mathieu Turi (“Meandre”, “Hostile”) announced the news on Twitter and IGN later confirmed the information.

A Plague Tale

The first title in the series, A Plague Tale : Innocencetakes place in France in the middle of the 14th century, during the Hundred Years War and at the height of the Black Death.

The story follows teenage noblewoman Amicia de Rune and her sick five-year-old brother Hugo, who must flee for their lives when a revelation regarding their lineage leads them to attempt to escape the French Inquisition and to hordes of plague-infested rats.

The continuation of the game A Plague Tale : Requiem hits stores later this year. The planned series adaptation does not yet have a potential release date.
