If you’ve been anxiously awaiting the sequel to The Last of Us Part II, here’s a “copy” that should help you wait. It is sold … on Nintendo Switch.

The Last Hope: Dead Survival is the story of a man who must escort a young girl to safety in a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies. Reminds you of something? It’s normal, it’s the pitch of a new game published on the British Nintendo eShop and which plagiarizes The Last of Us.

Very popular lately with the recent release of the series on HBO, The Last of Us is one of the most significant franchises of the last ten years. It is therefore not surprising that some want to ride this wave of success, but from there to plagiarize the game, there is a chasm that few would dare to cross.

“The game’s immersive atmosphere is enhanced by its detailed visuals, disturbing sound design, and a gripping storyline that unfolds as you progress”, touts the game’s eShop page, selling until July 13 for £0.99. As you can imagine, the quality is very far from that achieved by Naughty Dog, and the title should not survive more than a week on the Nintendo store.
