Two passengers were injured after a portable charger exploded inside a plane in Taiwan and caused a fire. The incident took place last Tuesday around 7:30 a.m. (local time) inside a Scoot company aircraft, which was flying from Taipei to Singapore.
The recording of the accident was released, however, on Wednesday. According to details provided by the media CNAwho contacted the airline in question, the flight was preparing to take off in the direction of Taoyuan airport when the crew warned about the accident.
As the images published on social networks show, panic seized the passengers when they encountered the large fireball present in a row of seats. Angie Ton (28), one of the people who was on that flight, recounted what happened.
“I was sitting in economy class. The plane’s engine was about to start running when I heard voices of people saying ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’. I also saw scared faces. Turning around, I found large, bright orange flames three rows behind me.”
