A five month pregnant died last tuesday in the Hospital of Morón, to which he had gone weeks before for severe abdominal pain. On that occasion, the medical staff assured him that it was colic and decided to send her back home.
The woman, identified as Laurinda Pilar Contreras 29 years old, she had arrived at the medical center on April 28 and there she was assisted by the obstetric guard. She underwent urine and blood tests, as well as an ultrasound. In these studies, she found, according to the hospital, that the young woman was dehydrated and after placing a serum with painkillers, they discharged him.
A relative of the deceased also reported that the doctors told her that her pain in the abdominal area was only “it was gas and colic«. However, on May 22, almost a month after that care, the young woman went back to the health center and when she examined her, her baby was found to have no heartbeat.
Given this situation, and with the victim still in severe pain, it was decided to operate Laurinda in an emergency, and she was admitted to the hospital until the following day. when he died after suffering several heart attacks.

After death, his family took the case to courtsince it assures it was a fact of mala praxis and that the young mother died by one peritonitis that she was not treated as appropriate by the Morón Hospital.
In fact, Laurinda’s relatives mentioned that although they received the death certificates from the medical center, they were never given any kind of explanation by the personnel or authorities of the institution, on the reasons for the tragic outcome.
In this context, they decided file a criminal complaint against the hospital, while, for its part, the health center initiated an administrative proceeding to determine the responsibility of the medical staff in the event.
In the case, the Prosecutor’s Office No. 6 of Morón intervened, which already requested the patient’s medical history and labeled the cause as an investigation of causes of death.
