Étienne Papineau has won his ticket to the PGA “school club”, the Korn Ferry Tour.

With a 24th place at Country Hills in Calgary, the Quebecer finished the season ranked fourth on the Canadian PGA Tour circuit.

The first five guaranteed a place on the Korny Ferry circuit, which is the antechamber of the PGA Tour.

Papineau, 26, scored his first professional victory this year by winning the Royal Beach Victoria Open in British Columbia, the first stop of the season on the Canadian circuit.

The product of the West Virginia Mountaineers in the NCAA also became the first Quebecer to win a PGA Tour Canada tournament since Max Gilbert in 2013.
