The New York Rangers have to say goodbye to the Stanley Cup playoffs on Monday night.
The Big Apple team lost 4-0 to the New Jersey Devils in the all-important game seven of round one of the playoffs. The series goes 4-3 to New Jersey.
Man of the game for the Devils is keeper Akira Schmid, who unpacks 31 saves and doesn’t allow a single hit. Michael McLeod (30./SH), Tomas Tatar (36.), Erik Haula (55.) and Jesper Bratt (57./EN) provided the goals.
The New Jersey Devils now face the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
