In a strange story of wedding and marriage stories, a strange marathon of its kind ended with a tragedy, in which a Nigerian groom decided to enter into a “sex race” with his life partner on the night of the wedding.
The Guardian newspaper reported that the incident occurred in Nigeria’s Lagos state, when a middle-aged young man named Devi challenged his girl Lovett, and bet with her to see which of them could have sex without stopping for the longest period.
Devi and his girl bet on 50,000 Nigerian naira ($140), which goes to the winner.
Lovett accepted the bet, and she and her groom rented a hotel room for the “marathon”. After several practices, Davy lost consciousness and fell on his girl’s body. He passed away. Lovett told the hotel staff what had happened to her and the details of the bet that led to Davy’s death.
The police arrested the girl Levi and sent the body to the forensic autopsy to decide the case after the results came out.
