A Domestic worker was murdered in Mar del Plata by her employer, an 80 year old retiree. After the femicide, the perpetrator shot himself inside your home.
It all started when a young man approached the 6th police station yesterday. from Mar del Plata, General Pueyrredón party, to denounce that his mother, identified as Gabriela Verónica Giménez (47), he had not returned from work and did not answer calls to his cell phone either.
After this, police personnel from the unit began the search for the woman in a house located at 1400 Estado de Israel street, where worked doing housework.
According to the spokespersons consulted, upon arrival at the place, the uniformed officers observed the bodies of Giménez and also the owner of the house, identified as Luis Alberto Carraro, 80 years old, through the living room window.
After entering the house, The police confirmed that both people were dead. and proceeded to seize a 36-caliber single-shot shotgun with which Carraro is believed to have killed Giménez and then commit suicide.
In turn, the authorities stated that there are no records of previous complaints against the man and that he lived alone in the house where the bodies were found.
On the other hand, judicial sources indicated that the preliminary autopsy report indicated that the woman’s body had a gunshot wound to the chest, while the man had two injuries, one on the ear and scalp, presumably to from a first failed suicide attempt, and another in his mouth, which was lethal for the 80-year-old man.
The case, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 7 of the district headed by prosecutor Leandro Arévalo, was characterized as a femicide followed by suicidewhile the results of the autopsy are awaited to establish the area where the woman was shot and if she has signs of trying to have defended herself from the man’s attack.
