Today, Monday, the price of gold in Egypt continued its skyrocketing rise, and the gram increased by 30 pounds in the middle of trading compared to its level at the beginning of trading, according to what Naguib, Secretary General of the Gold Division of the former Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy.
The price of a gram of 21 carat gold thus exceeded the level of 1,500 pounds for the first time in the local markets, affected by the rise in the price of the dollar against the pound, and the increase in international prices for the metal, according to Naguib Club.
And the price of a gram jumped by 25 pounds at the beginning of today’s trading compared to its level yesterday evening, bringing the total increase during today’s dealings so far to 55 pounds.

14 karat gold prices increased to 1003 pounds per gram.
The price of 18 karat gold rose to 1290 pounds per gram.
And the price of 21 carat gold jumped to 1505 pounds per gram.
And the price of 24 karat gold rose to 1720 pounds per gram.
