Mother, when do you finally die? is the name of a book by the German author Martina Rosenberg. A terrible title, which nonetheless gets to the heart of a problem that people do not like to talk regarding. There are countless people, terminally ill or simply tired of life, who would rather die today than tomorrow, but are not allowed to. Now the Constitutional Court (VfGH) has to decide on an application to facilitate euthanasia for the second time because the first decision on this from 2020 was insufficient.
