When Marjolein was interviewed by Het Laatste Nieuws following her victory, she said that Helmut Lotti might always call her for a duet. Barely two months later, it has already happened.
They went into the studio together to record a duet version of ‘Be Mine’. They will also sing that song on ‘Tien Om Te Zien’.
When Helmut saw Marjolein sing on television, he was immediately blown away. “There is a kind of shyness, but at the same time you see a lot of conviction and strength,” he tells Het Laatste Nieuws.
That’s why he didn’t hesitate to work with her for a moment. Marjolein is also over the moon and doesn’t hide her admiration for him.
“30 years ago he brought classical music to the people, and that is a huge achievement. And I think he sings beautifully,” she says.
