A sports day for the Taekwondo and hydromotor federations and the signing of a cooperation agreement with activities for refugees and displaced people – Al-Binaa Newspaper

The Taekwondo and Water Engines Federations held a long sports day for Syrian and Palestinian refugee and displaced children coming from Dbayeh camp, located in the center of the Church Complex, at the Marine Science Institute of Technology MARSATI, Batroun, and in implementation of the protocol signed between the President of the International Taekwondo Federation, Dr. Chun Won Shu, and the President of the International Federation of Water Engines, Dr. Raffaele Scioli In the presence of the President of the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, Dr. Habib Zarifa, the President of the Lebanese Federation of Water Engines, Dr. Carla Chagoury, and the President of the Institute, Lawyer Steve Assal.

The beginning was with a tour around the institute. And then the national anthem and words on the occasion, the first of which was for a member of the Equality Committee of the International Federation of Water Engines, Elida Nakhoul, who touched on how to cooperate between the two federations and about the steps of the sports day, followed by Zarifa, who considered the event as a message and a mixture of education and sports on the condition that they focus on them, and a speech by Chagoury who in turn thanked everyone Noting the marine sports event, both through setting up the trip and learning the sport of Taekwondo, the closing speech was by Assal, who welcomed the guests and wished the refugees and displaced persons in Lebanon in general that they would not lose sight of their homelands and that their goal and preoccupation would remain a safe return to their country and not allow the conspirator and enemy to impose his project, which is to make Lebanon an alternative home for them. Then, Zarifa and Chagoury presented memorial shields to Assal, Dr. Charlie Abi Nader, and Head of the Batroun Civil Defense Unit Rizk Rizk.

Everyone headed to the port of Batroun, and it was a cruise for the children, escorted by the Civil Defense. Zarifa and Chagoury signed the cooperation protocol and Assal presented two commemorative shields to each of them, after which a lecture was held for the participating children from the Civil Defense on how to learn to use maritime safety means and to protect themselves, followed by training by Taekwondo players, in addition to learning about the game and how to self-defense.
