A statement from the Minister of Education regarding electronic cheating in the second exams

Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, said that the ministry issues an official statement on a daily basis about cases of electronic fraud and those who have been arrested by the security services, except that it is all a plan to create confusion despite the success of the exams.

Shawky added, in his statements to the “Republic Operations Room” group via the “WhatsApp” application today: “The same scheme happened last year, and we all remember how the totals decreased, and if all these rumors last year were true, the totals of the first were in the tens of thousands, which did not happen.”

The minister concluded by saying: “The conclusion: the ministry’s statement is official, and the rest is all misinformation, intimidation and lies to undermine the success of Egyptian education.”

This morning, high school students with its scientific and literary divisions took the exam in the second foreign language, and the general secondary students (the blind) took the exam in the first foreign language (first paper), and the students of high school in the STEM schools took the exam in the subject “Test Preparation for admission to universities (English language).

Dr. Reda Hijazi, Deputy Minister of Education for Teachers’ Affairs, and Head of Examinations General, confirmed that all stages of work with high school exams are fully secured, starting with printing questions, passing them to question distribution centers and then exam conduct committees, and system and control committees.
