A story full of emotions to tell toddlers about bipolar disease

Emmanuelle Babin has two children and a spouse suffering from bipolar disorder. She has created a children’s book, which deals with the delicate subject of the bipolar parent. ” I’m not an expert on this disease, of course, but I’m sharing my experience as a mother: to help my son understand what was happening at home when he was very young, from birth, I tinkered very early on with a book that told the very strong emotions and moods of this dad, sometimes so sad, so tired, sometimes so happy and enthusiastic, and sometimes so angry and impressive. It seemed essential to me that my son be able to identify in all the little books that I read to him, with a character who encountered the same emotions in the face of this disturbing, sometimes chaotic daily life”.

This little rabbit to whom we talk about illness, about time needed, who wonders what he could have done or what he should do to make his daddy feel better. This little family of rabbits is beautifully illustrated by Ptit Shou, a graphic designer inspired by the kawaii, cheerful and colorful universe.
