Thrissur: A student drowned while taking a bath in the Thrissur Chitanda check dam. Shafa (17), a native of Chavakkad, died. The accident happened around 9.30 am on Sunday.
Shafa came to the check dam with friends. After seeing Shafa drowning in the water, the locals came and pulled her out following her friends informed her. By then death had occurred.
The students reached the place where there were no security arrangements following traveling one and a half kilometers through the forest.
