A suspicious fire ravages a sushi restaurant in Chambly

A fire of suspicious origin heavily damaged a restaurant in the city of Chambly, in Montérégie, on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

The Hiro Sushi restaurant located in a shopping center on boulevard Périgny, near rue Béique was engulfed in flames shortly before 3 a.m., according to the Fire Department of the City of Chambly, which mobilized all means to fight the blaze.

Even if the firefighters of the neighboring towns were called to the rescue to lend a hand to their colleagues, the business suffered heavy damage caused by the fire which did not spare the adjoining businesses.

They were still damaged by water, flames and smoke, while a dozen fire trucks were mobilized in a fierce fight once morest the disaster which was eventually brought under control.

According to the first information, there are clues that suggest that it is a possible arson.
