In the virtual meeting, the Malbrán technicians presented about the results obtained so far from the samples from Tucumán in the framework of a diagnostic expansion of the nine cases of pneumonia of unknown origin. These samples were distributed to the departments of Bacteriology, Virology and Mycology of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (INEI) in order to diagnose hantavirus, a panel of 12 respiratory viruses and pancoronavirus, histoplasmosis and panfungal, legionellosis, leptospirosis, Q fever, mycoplasma and psittacosis.
