A tourist between life and death after being mowed down by a cannabis-positive motorist in Malmedy

Major road accident this Tuesday afternoon near Malmedy, in Cligneval. A young Flemish tourist was hit by a car while doing a U-turn on a moped. His days are endangered.

The little tourist ride on a moped turned tragic on Tuesday afternoon in the small hamlet of Cligneval, in Malmedy, for a group of young Flemish people. “A group of cyclists were walking on a municipal road. At one point, some of the gang decided to turn around on the causeway. It was at this precise moment that a car arrived in the opposite direction before hitting one of the tourists, ”explains the prosecution.

The young man, seriously injured, was transported to Mont Légia. His days are endangered.

The driver, born in 1983, tested positive for cannabis. His driving license was revoked for 15 days. An automotive expert was dispatched to the scene of the accident to define the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
