And Two-year-old boy died this Saturday when he was hit by a food truck that started back after delivering merchandise in a business, in the Mendoza town of San Carlos, police and judicial sources reported today.
He fact occurred this afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., in a business located on Calle Coronel Videla and Ruta Nacional 40, in the town of San Carlos, about 100 kilometers from the provincial capitalwhen the victim, identified as Juan Damián Quiroz (2) was run over by a food delivery truck.
From the first inquiries it emerged that the truck, brand Ford F350led by a 36-year-old man, was parked loading food products and then got into the truck and backed up and ran over the minor.
The driver of the truck continued the march without noticing the fact and it was the neighbors who saw what happened and they notified the driver who returned to where the minor was, and an emergency ambulance doctor confirmed Quiroz’s death at the scene.
For his part, the man in charge of the truck was transferred to Police Station 18, of that town, where an alcohol dose was carried out that was negative, police authorities indicated.
Investigators worked at the scene to gather elements to determine the mechanics of the accident that caused the death of the minor, and in this context the The mother told the police that “they were both in the house and in an oversight the child went out into the street.”
The investigation is being carried out by the San Carlos Mendoza Jurisdiction Prosecutor’s Office whose cover is wrongful death investigation.
