A UK plane provider won’t be able to participate in NATO workouts resulting from propeller issues

The plane provider HMS Queen Elizabeth won’t be a part of the workouts off the Norwegian Arctic coast, being changed by HMS Prince of Wales.

The same scenario occurred in August 2022 when HMS Prince of Wales suffered a propeller failure en path to a coaching train with the US and Canada off the coast of North America. The plane provider needed to be towed again to port from the Isle of Wight and was changed by HMS Queen Elizabeth within the train.

With HMS Queen Elizabeth in hassle, the UK Navy might not be capable of ship its plane provider to the Pink Sea, as Protection Minister James Heappey has prompt. The scenario there has escalated as Iran-backed Houthi rebels goal cargo ships within the waters connecting Asia to Europe and the US.
