The Russian auto industry is once again gaining a second wind. Over the past year alone, several revived domestic car brands have appeared on our market. However, Chinese-made cars are actually hidden under native brands. It looks like this trend will gain momentum. Already in 2024, the Volga is expected to return, which, according to some sources, is also being created on the basis of a car from the Middle Kingdom. It is likely that the number of “reanimation” brands will increase over time.
Nostalgia for the Soviet automobile industry prompted the independent designer to create a project to revive another famous brand – IZH. He developed sketches of the appearance of the compact crossover IZH-2715 “Crystal” 2024-2025. According to the author, this model would also be created on the basis of a Chinese car. As a prototype, the designer took a non-standard crossover Lifan X50, which was supplied to Russia for some time, but did not take root here, despite the attractive price.
If the presented project is implemented, the new IZH-2715 “Crystal” 2024-2025 could technically become an exact copy of its Chinese prototype. However, the author of the sketches depicted this crossover in a completely different body, due to the fact that Russian companies plan to increase the localization of the assembly of Chinese cars in the Russian Federation.
