Pakistan’s well-known playwright, poet, writer and thinker Khalilur Rahman Qamar says that I am not against women, perhaps I am the one who respects and respects women immensely.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar said in a special talk in the news program “Rubro” today that I had stood against some wrong words and wrong slogans (slogans).
In response to a question, he said to get rid of the misconception that when the drama was on PTV, the streets were deserted, at that time there was only one channel and the TV was new, so people were surprised. We used to see, at that time everything was a hit, not only the drama, but as the competition increased, the writers were also the same, ‘During the time of competitors (competition), when you came, that drama was not written by you’.
He said that the drama does not train you, but what happens inside you trains you, ‘If you have adopted that shit through training, then it is not the fault of the drama, you are inside you. It’s nature’s fault’.
Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar, while giving advice regarding the women of Aurat March, said that ‘first understand what they are doing’.
He said that if I claim, I am the first man in Pakistan who stands for women’s rights, but I do not stand with filth, I do not stand with indecency, I stand with full force. I will do it.
What do you think when you write a play? In response to this question, Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar said that my entire play is based on the basis that ‘my society is run only by good women, men are thieves who make a hole in it’.
He said that modesty and loyalty is the name of sacrifice, my target is always a brave woman, you can watch any of my dramas, ‘My heroine here, my heroine does not cry, she is a strong woman, I love her. I teach you not to cry, to use your inner strength, but not in the wrong direction.
He said that the feminists believed that the dignity of a woman is hidden in the humiliation of a man, which is not the case.
In response to a question, he said that he was a successful banker before becoming a writer and his parents were strongly against him writing, but I had to come to this side, what God gives is brought there.
He said that I am a poet first and a drama writer later.
What is your favorite play you have written? In response to this question, he said that ‘I will never decide this’.

While narrating a story of his childhood, he said that I was a poor child and a big fan of Bhutto. I was a poor child but I did not wear clothes. Once my uncle sent a suit to my father. He said that you will sew him, but I will wear his bean coat, because Bhutto Sahib used to wear a bean coat, my father gave it to me, at that time I used to buy a coat from Linde for two or four rupees, and the cost of sewing was 180 rupees. Then a poor child would not believe that it had been sewn. At that time it was an insult to see someone’s new item and ask how much it cost. I went and no one believed that I sewed this coat, I was swearing that by God, but no one believed, I was sad and took off the coat and put it in my mother’s green trunk. Stored and never worn again.
He further said that when I was the vice-president of the bank, my brother came wearing a very nice coat, so I asked him how much he had taken, and he told me that he had taken it from Linde for Rs. 150. I bought two coats from him. To order, I was sitting in the meeting of the bank when the chairman saw my coat and asked Khalil sir, where did you get it and how much did it cost? So I said that I have ordered 150 from Linde, to which they said incredulously, let it be, I swore that I have ordered from Linde, but they did not believe me.
In response to a question, he said that today’s culture is beyond my understanding, there was a video maker who was going to collect videos, she has been given positions, people have been scared, so understand that I am also scared.
