A video showing Capcom’s canceled Dead Rising 5 has surfaced online

Videos with frames of the canceled fifth part of the series were found on the Internet Dead Risingheld under the working title Dead Rising: Day of the Dead.

The videos were posted as a portfolio of a former developer Nika Sinkevich and date back to 2017, but were only recently released to the public.

In one of the videos, you can see the gameplay for the protagonist of the second part Chuck Green in the jungle setting, where he fends off hordes of zombies, interacts with NPCs and fights a boss attacking with an electric mechanical arm. Other videos allow you to look at three-dimensional models of the environment without textures.

Recall that the studio was responsible for the development of the Dead Rising franchise. Capcom Vancouverwhich was closed following the financial failure of the fourth part. You can read more regarding this here.

Today Capcom does not remember the Dead Rising franchise.
