A war between Egyptians and Libyans .. and Dabaiba to Sawiris, “We are not a nudity festival”

The past hours have witnessed what looks like a “tweeting” battle that erupted between Egyptians and Libyans on social media.

As for the beginning of that “war”, it started with a tweet published by the Egyptian businessman, Naguib Sawiris, yesterday, Friday, on his Twitter account, to which the outgoing Prime Minister of Libya replied, Abdul Hamid Al-DabaibaThen the verbal battles followed.

Sawiris, who is known for his controversial tweets at times, wrote: “History will remember that Dabaiba stood in the way of the stability of his country for his own personal interest… and preferred the position over the interest of Libya!”

Dabaiba responded stingingly, saying: “It seems that you got the title wrong. This is Libya (history), the country of the lions and the home of decency, not a striptease festival!”, referring to the establishment of the Egyptian rich El Gouna Film Festival.

What launched a wave of Egyptian criticism against Dabaiba, considering that his response was offensive to their entire country!

On the other hand, some Libyans pointed their arrows at Sawiris, considering that Libya does not interest him, but rather what he seeks is “commercial contracts and deals”, demanding that he “not shed crocodile tears.”

However, the Egyptian businessman returned and confirmed that he has no business, deals or projects on Libyan soil.

He also mocked the movement of the militia’s “electronic flies” in Tripoli, as he put it.

The beginning of his fortune in Libya!

While one of his followers explained that Sawiris’ father worked in Libya, and “gathered the beginnings of his wealth there during the days of the kingdom”, so he cares about the Libyan issue and is concerned with its interest.

It was not from Ibn Masr but to confirm that information, retweeting the words of the tweeter!

However, the battle has not subsided so far, and is still raging at the time of writing this report!

It is noteworthy that Libya sank again months ago in a sharp division between two governments, one headed by Dabaiba and the other headed by Fathi Bashagha, after the Libyan parliament assigned the former Minister of Interior to take over the cabinet, but Dabaiba refused to give up power, considering the appointment of his rival illegal!

This pushed the country to the brink of chaos again, amid international and local fears of the outbreak of security clashes and the resurgence of fighting between Libyans.
