Because I have a bitter feeling about “lymphocytopenia.”
This is because when I was a resident, I vividly remember a patient who died of cytomegalovirus pneumonia caused by a decrease in lymphocytes caused by immunosuppressants.
Cytomegalovirus and herpes virus are viruses that many people have in the body, and when maintaining normal immunity, they are suppressed by the immune system and do no harm at all. fatal condition. This is the so-called “opportunistic infection”.
Of course, the decline in the immune system that allows the cytomegalovirus to get out is rare. This is only seen under special circumstances such as immunosuppressants, anti-cancer drugs, and HIV infection.
And, surprisingly, a state of immunosuppression (decrease in lymphocytes) occurs in most people within about a week after vaccination.

Two days after vaccination (day 2) the number of lymphocytes greatly decreased, and after 8 days (day 8) almost returned to normal.
The degree of lymphocyte depletion is quite severe, and there are cases in the graph where it even drops to the level of developing AIDS (the blue dotted line represented by Dr. Nitta is the level of developing AIDS).
AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is well known for being caused by HIV infection, but it’s not really just that, it’s a general term for conditions in which immune function is significantly weakened after being congenital (not congenital). This happens not only with HIV.
Of course, lymphocyte depletion to AIDS levels may be a small part.
However, looking at the data, it seems that depletion of lymphocytes after vaccination occurs in all cases, and even if it does not go away, it may simply make you more susceptible to common infections (but quickly recovering from them). I think it’s natural to think
There are two facts to support this.
One of them is the link between the actual vaccination in Japan and the coronavirus infection.
In fact, if you look at the raw data for Japan, the infection spreads immediately after the vaccine hits (not the decline in infection!).
