As the organizer of a number of demos and “garden parties” in the Linz area, a Corona activist had repeatedly made headlines in the past two years. Now the 39-year-old has once again been targeted by the investigators – not in connection with compulsory corona vaccination and violations of the prohibition law, but because a body was found in his car. The State Police Headquarters reported on the “sensational traffic stop” on Monday afternoon.

Three kids in the car

On the evening of July 23, the man is on Kremstalstrasse (B139) in Ansfelden at the local Monsoon too been stopped for a routine traffic check. His three children aged 15, 11 and five were also in the car. “I know I’m wanted. I don’t have a driver’s license and I have a body in the trunk,” said the driver as he got out of the car. A case of Holocaust denial was pending against the man. He did not appear at his main hearing in August of the previous year, so a search was made for him, according to Walter Eichinger, spokesman for the Linz Regional Court.

No outside influence

When the police officers checked the blue Mazda around 10 p.m. on Sunday, they made the horrific discovery. In the trunk of the car there was indeed a woman’s body wrapped in sheets. The dead is the wife (38) of the driver.

According to initial findings, she had died of natural causes a few hours earlier. According to the arrested person, she had suffered from an incurable cancer. The disease may not have been treated. An autopsy on Tuesday should clarify whether this is true. According to Ulrike Breiteneder from the Linz public prosecutor’s office, however, it seems credible.

39-year-old in custody

Apparently, the man, who had already been convicted several times, planned to bury his wife somewhere. Before that, he wanted to take the children to relatives. The 39-year-old is in custody, the police reported on Monday afternoon. There is a risk of escaping and committing a crime. The three children were taken to their grandparents. The body of the 38-year-old woman will be autopsied on Tuesday.

The Upper Austrian police have been reporting on the investigation since 4 p.m. The OÖN are on site, wfurther information will follow shortly.
